1. What hours is the center open?

The center hours are 6:30 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

2. What paperwork do I need to enroll my child?

To enroll your child you need:

    a current physical

    a current shot record

    a current notarized emergency release

    an enrollment packet

3. What qualifications do the teachers have?

All staff are required to complete a minimum of 8 hours and to attend 12 hours of renewal training each year.

All CDA (Child Development Associate) teachers are required to have a minimum of 12 hours of training annually.

First aid and CPR trained staff are available through the entire day.

4. What kind of discipline is used?

Appropriate behavior is encouraged through:

    • positive reinforcement
    • praise
    • modeling
Inappropriate behavior is discouraged through:
    • Structuring the environment
    • Redirecting behaviors
    • Appropriate time out management
      Following through, being consistent
      Immediate response to behavior

      The use of negative discipline practices such as yelling and embarrassing the child are avoided, because they do not teach the child what TO do, and do not change behavior.

 

5. Does the center take Coordinated Child Care subsidies?

Yes, we are a contracted site with Coordinated Child Care.

6. Does my child have to bring a lunch?

No, your child does not have to bring a lunch. The following meals are covered in the tuition costs.

    Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 8:30

    Lunch from 11:30 to 12:00

    Snack is served at 3:00

No, we do not offer part-time care.

No, we do not offer care for school age children.

The center is closed for 12 holidays during the year.

10. Yes! There are MANY ways you can help.

a. Albertson's Cards

Shop at Albertson's and your partnership card will earn funds for the center.

b. Volunteers are Needed for

  • Classrooms
  • Handy man
  • Board member

c. Donations will be gratefully accepted for:

  • Children's books
  • Toddler/preschool toys
  • Little Tyke's equipment
  • Computer software
  • New and used computers (Pentium 1 or higher)
  • Art supplies
  • First aid supplies
  • Kitchen supplies
  • Towels (new or used)
  • Books, records, tapes and videos for our annual media sale (Spring)
  • Household and miscellaneous items for our annual yard sale (Fall)
